Chelsey Francis is a seasoned professional in risk management and compliance, currently serving as the Risk & Compliance Manager at First Community Credit Union since May 2021. In this role, Chelsey develops and executes risk management strategies and monitors organizational practices to identify potential compliance gaps. Prior to this position, Chelsey held various roles at Wells Fargo from March 2012 to May 2021, including Risk & BSA Manager and Service Manager, where responsibilities encompassed leadership, team development, and fostering a positive work environment. Chelsey began a career at Pizza Hut as a Shift Manager from September 2006 to February 2012, overseeing restaurant operations and managing teams. Chelsey holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Colorado Technical University, earned between 2016 and 2018.

Our community first laid its foundation in Jamestown, North Dakota in 1939. Since that time, we've grown to 29 branches across North Dakota and Western Minnesota, in towns of all sizes. First Community has the largest membership of all credit unions in North Dakota, with a field of membership that covers over a third of the state and into Western Minnesota. As a credit union, FCCU is owned by its members. This is different than banks, which are owned by a select group of stockholders.
