Fabien Gendron

Fabien Gendron has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Fabien currently holds the position of Director at First Credit Union since May 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded Swift Bookkeeping Conversions in March 2020. From September 2016, Fabien worked at Reach CPA as a Business, Tech & Tax Advisor, where they provided consulting services on business planning, automation, and tax planning. Fabien also oversaw the preparation of tax returns and financial statements. From May 2015 to June 2021, Fabien served as a Director at Union Bay Credit Union. Before that, they worked as a Manager at Pateman Cloutier Matthews LLP, where they provided accounting, tax, and assurance services to small to medium-sized companies. Fabien also mentored CPA students. Fabien began their career at MNP LLP in 2009 as an Accountant and later became a Designated Professional, leading assurance engagements and providing tax planning services. Fabien also worked as an Accountant at Chan Nowosad Boates, Chartered Accountant, and as a Bookkeeper at Stanfield & Co, Certified General Accountant.

Fabien Gendron received a Chartered Accountant degree from the CA School of Business from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they completed levels one to four of the Program of Professional Studies in Accounting, assurance, tax, and finance at the Certified General Accountant of BC. Fabien also holds a Graphic Art Diploma from College de Sherbrooke, which they obtained from 1996 to 1999. In addition, they obtained certifications such as CUDA Governance in Action (Level B) from the Canadian Credit Union Association in 2022, WorkflowMax Advisor course from WorkflowMax (A Xero Product) in July 2018, and became a Chartered Professional Accountant through the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia in 2012.
