Rue Flores has an extensive and diverse work experience. Rue started their career in the USAF in 1989 as an officer and served in various roles including Deputy Commander, Theater Special Operations Air Component, Aviation Future Capabilities Planner/Chief of Special Activities, Director of Operations, 86th Operations Support Squadron, and Chief, Third Air Force Commanders Action Group. Rue later joined Engility Corporation as the Director of Business Development, responsible for the Navy Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Explosive Ordnance Disposal (C-IED)/EOD Technology Directorate. Currently, Rue Flores is the President of First Division Consulting, Inc., a company that provides professional technical services, program management, acquisition, integration, business development, and continuous process improvement support to Department of Defense, Federal Government, and commercial organizations.

Rue Flores earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace Engineering from Saint Louis University between the years 1985 and 1989. Later, in 1997 to 1998, Rue pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Human Resources Development from Webster University. In addition to these academic achievements, Rue Flores obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com in June 2015, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in March 2016.
