Joseph Callahan is a professional with diverse work experience. Joseph started their career as the Vice President of UNCW Hockey at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2014. Joseph then worked as a Middle School Science Teacher and Lacrosse Coach at New Hanover County Schools from 2015 to 2017. Joseph joined the City of Wilmington, NC as a Firefighter in 2017 and worked there until 2021. Simultaneously, they worked as an Ocean Lifeguard for the Town of Wrightsville Beach from 2019 to 2021. In 2021, they joined First Due as a Client Success Manager. Throughout their career, Joseph has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service in various roles.
Joseph Callahan studied at the University of North Carolina Wilmington from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. In addition to their degree, they also hold certifications in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers from the American Heart Association, Emergency Medical Technician from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, and Firefighter from the North Carolina Office of the State Fire Marshal.
