Melissa Lepore Wood

Melissa LePore Wood has a strong background in finance and accounting. Melissa began their career as an Associate Director at Bear Stearns in 2000 and worked there until 2008. From 2008 to 2012, they served as Vice President at JPMorgan Chase. In 2012, they joined Lovett & Company, LTD. as an Accounting Manager for a brief period before transitioning to First Electric Cooperative Corporation. At First Electric, Melissa held the position of Manager of Accounting from 2012 to 2018, when they were promoted to Chief Financial Officer, a role they currently hold.

Melissa LePore Wood completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the University of Central Arkansas between 1987 and 1991. Melissa later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Accounting from Memphis State University from 1992 to 1994. Additionally, Melissa obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification in March 1999 and the Cooperative Financial Professional Certificate in December 2017.
