David Houchen

David Houchen has extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. David currently holds the position of Senior VP & CFO at First Federal Bank of Kansas City, where they focus on mortgage and consumer lending. Prior to this, they served as First VP and CFO at Bank of Blue Valley, leading the finance function and overseeing a successful merger with Morrill & Janes Bank and Heartland Financial USA. Before that, they were the VP for Finance and Administration at Baker University, responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management. David also worked as a Senior Consultant at Pro 31 Tax and Accounting, providing financial solutions to small businesses and nonprofits. Earlier in their career, they served as the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Children International, a multinational charity organization. David started their career as a Manager at BKD CPAs & Advisors, specializing in financial reporting. David Houchen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Central Missouri. David completed their education in a span of three years, from 1984 to 1987, during which they pursued a double major in Accounting and Finance.
