Erica Dorsett

Erica Dorsett is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal field. Currently serving as General Counsel at First Foundation Inc. since April 2022, Erica previously held the position of Assistant General Counsel. Prior to this role, Erica worked at Texas Capital Bank as Senior Vice President and Senior In-House Counsel from July 2014 to October 2021. Erica's foundational legal experience includes serving as a Staff Attorney for the United States District Court from May 2000 to June 2014 and as an Assistant District Attorney at the Dallas County District Attorney's Office from December 1996 to April 2000. Additionally, Erica began a legal career as a Hearing Officer at the Texas Workforce Commission from January 1994 to November 1996. Erica earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, as well as Music, from Trinity University.
