Riaz Qamari

Riaz Qamari has extensive work experience in the banking industry spanning over three decades. Riaz began their career at Wells Fargo Bank in 1991, where they held various roles such as Lending Manager, Vice President, and Portfolio Banker. In these positions, they managed portfolios, reduced delinquencies, prepared credit approval presentations, and assisted with relationship management.

In 2007, Qamari joined Washington Mutual as a Credit Manager, where they established a small business underwriting group and played a key role in implementing long-term strategies and policies.

Riaz returned to Wells Fargo Bank in 2010 as a Lending Manager and Vice President, leading a team of underwriters and overseeing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio. Riaz also served as the Head of National Underwriting Small Business Banking at Capital One, where they partnered with key stakeholders in identifying and assessing risks.

Qamari most recently worked at First Foundation Inc. as a Regional Commercial Credit Officer and Senior Vice President, where they reviewed and recommended commercial loan requests, participated in credit proposal structuring, and presented credit proposals to senior management.

Throughout their career, Qamari consistently demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to build and manage high-performing teams. Their experience encompasses credit risk management, underwriting, portfolio management, and adherence to regulatory policies and procedures.

Riaz Qamari has obtained an MBA degree with a focus in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from St. Cloud State University - Herberger Business School. Additionally, Riaz has also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the same institution.
