James Coats

James Coats is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in application support and incident management. Currently serving as a Senior Technology Specialist at First Horizon Bank since May 2023, James supports the ACI Money Transfer System. Previously, James held multiple roles at Northern Trust Corporation from 2000 to 2022, including Application Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed the implementation of security applications and development of secure password policies. As a Critical Incident Manager, James efficiently coordinated efforts to restore application services following service interruptions, while also contributing as a Change Management Consultant to develop solutions to prevent future changes from failing. In the capacity of Systems Analyst Programmer, James led the Money Transfer System team, overseeing vendor upgrades and ensuring 24x7 production support. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northeastern Illinois University.
