Nicholas Petro

Nicholas Petro's work experience begins in 2013 as a Student Network Administrator at Central Catholic High School. In 2014, they were a Software Development Intern at First Insight, Inc. Nicholas then continued their internship at the same company in 2015 as a Software Engineering Intern. In the same year, they also began working at the University of Pittsburgh as a Teaching Assistant for a systems design and engineering class, as well as a Student Center for Product Innovation Work-Study. In 2017, they served as the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lead at the University of Pittsburgh.

Returning to First Insight, Inc. in 2018, Nicholas worked there as a Software Engineer, building enterprise web applications until 2020. From 2020 to 2022, they served as a Software Engineering Manager at the company, where they facilitated the development of code, reported team progress, and led Agile ceremonies. Since 2022, they have been the Director Of Engineering at First Insight, Inc.

Overall, Nicholas Petro has gained extensive experience in software development, engineering management, teaching, and entrepreneurship throughout their career.

Nicholas Petro obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Nicholas attended the university from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, Nicholas completed their high school education at Central Catholic High School, where they earned their High School Diploma. Nicholas attended Central Catholic High School from 2010 to 2014.
