Bobby Kagel

Bobby Kagel is senior trader for First Light. In this role, he is responsible for all trading activity, including trading scenario analysis, order creation and management, execution of orders, post-trading analysis, and management of the firm’s trading relationships.

Kagel brings a wealth of trading experience to First Light, having served in various trading roles since 1991. Most recently, Kagel spent nearly 12 years as a managing director of trading and head of the health care vertical market at Piper Jaffray. Prior to this position, he was a partner and head of trading for RedSky Partners, where he supported the firm’s long/short and market neutral investment strategies. Kagel also served as a managing director-market maker for RBC, and a trader for Investment Advisors, Inc. His alma mater is the University of Minnesota.
