Michael Deal

Michael Deal is an experienced metallurgical professional with a career spanning over 17 years in the mining industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Metallurgy and Innovation at First Majestic Silver Corp., Michael has held multiple leadership roles at the company since June 2021, including Vice President of Operations and General Manager. Prior to this position, Michael held the role of Process Manager at Nevada Gold Mines from February 2019 to June 2021 and served as North America Strategic Planning Metallurgist at Newmont Corporation between May 2017 and February 2019. Additional experience includes roles as Process Manager at OceanaGold Corporation and Chief Metallurgist at Romarco Minerals Inc. Michael's career began as a Metallurgical Engineer II at Newmont Mining Corporation after obtaining a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2009.
