Sam Holm has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Sam began their career at Baylor University as a Resident Advisor from 1998 to 2000. Sam then joined Pine Cove in 2001, where they held various roles, including Senior Intern, Program Director, and Associate Director until 2011. At Pine Cove, they were responsible for hiring, training, and developing college students, as well as conducting interviews. From 2011 to 2017, Sam worked at Park Cities Baptist Church as the Associate Pastor of Teaching and later as the Associate Pastor of Teaching and Young Adult Minister. Currently, they serve as the Lead Pastor at First Baptist Church McKinney since 2017.
Sam Holm attended Baylor University from 1997 to 2001, earning a bachelor's degree in Speech and Business Administration. From 2003 to 2010, they attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where they received an M.Div. degree in Biblical Studies and Exegetical Preaching. Finally, from 2012 to 2018, Sam attended Dallas Theological Seminary, obtaining a Doctor of Ministry degree with a focus on Exegetical Preaching.
