Asaf Eilam

Asaf Eilam has a diverse work experience in various fields. Asaf is currently working as the Head of Data Science at First Media US. Prior to that, they were the Head of the algorithm team at Sarine Technologies from April 2019 to February 2022.

Before joining Sarine Technologies, Asaf worked at Phytech as the Data Science team leader from July 2017 to April 2019. Asaf also served as a Data Scientist at Phytech from September 2016 to July 2017, where they developed machine learning algorithms, deep learning algorithms, and data mining algorithms.

Asaf's earlier experience includes working as a Senior algorithm developer at AcousticEye Ltd. from March 2014 to January 2016. Asaf was responsible for developing and executing signal processing algorithms, signal processing based on wavelet transforms, and image reconstruction/tomography of ultrasound.

Before entering the industry, Asaf worked as a Postdoctoral fellow at The University of British Columbia from February 2010 to March 2014. Asaf developed new models in high-resolution spectroscopy for atoms and molecules in the gas phase and new techniques for the distillation of mixtures of chiral molecules based on light and matter interactions.

Asaf's academic background includes a Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry from Bar Ilan University, where they specialized in nonlinear and quantum optics. During their Ph.D., they developed new techniques for increased efficiency of quantum and optical memories in atomic vapors and new techniques for controlling wave propagation in atomic and solid-state media.

Asaf Eilam began their education at Mosinzon High School, although specific details about their field of study or any degrees obtained are unknown. Asaf then went on to attend Bar-Ilan University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Bio-Physics from 1999 to 2002. Asaf continued their education at Bar-Ilan University and obtained a Master's degree in Nonlinear optics from 2003 to 2005. Asaf Eilam's education culminated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nonlinear and Quantum Optics from Bar-Ilan University, which they completed from 2005 to 2009.
