Caely McHale

Caely McHale has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. Caely started their career as a Publishing Intern at Sinister Wisdom Inc in 2015, where they reviewed submissions, prepared journal drafts, and handled communication with subscribers and distributors. In 2016, they interned at the DC Center for the LBGT Community, assisting in organizing and implementing a literary festival and managing social media for the event.

Caely then worked as a Writing Center Tutor at George Mason University in 2017, followed by an Associate Editorial Internship at Poetry Daily from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they participated in editorial review sessions, managed the organization's Twitter account, and organized permissions for publications.

From 2019 to 2020, Caely served as a Heritage Fellow in Poetry at George Mason University. Following that, they joined THE BOOKWORM OF EDWARDS, INC. as a Book Seller in 2021, where they curated and expanded the Poetry section, wrote book reviews, and assisted customers in finding suitable books. Caely also worked as a Social Media Editor at Muzzle Magazine, managing the company's online community and promoting the careers of the poets they publish through content creation and execution.

Currently, Caely is employed as a Social Media Manager at First Media US since 2023.

Caely McHale earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from William & Mary in the years 2014 to 2017. Following that, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing (Poetry) at George Mason University from 2017 to 2020.
