Valerie Jackson

Environmental Health Officer at First Nations Health Authority

Valerie Jackson is an experienced Environmental Public Health Officer currently working with First Nations Health Authority since August 2021, focusing on public facility inspections, drinking water testing, health risk assessments, and health education in BC communities. Prior to this role, Valerie served as an Environmental Health Officer with Indigenous Services Canada from October 2018 to August 2021, conducting health risk analysis and public health inspections in remote Manitoba First Nations. Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Concordia University of Edmonton and has further education in Infection Prevention and Control from Queen's University, Bio-anthropology from The University of Winnipeg, an onsite wastewater management course from RRC Polytech, and is pursuing a First Responder Certificate from Firemedix.
