Shawn Fischman

Shawn Fischman is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and corporate law. Currently serving as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at First New York since August 2014, Shawn Fischman held the role of Associate General Counsel at the same company prior to the current position. Shawn's previous experience includes working in Markets Compliance at Deutsche Bank from October 2012 to June 2014, serving as Corporate Counsel at Net Element, Inc. from January 2011 to September 2012, and maintaining a focus on legal and regulatory compliance at Goldman Sachs from May 2010 to January 2011. Early career roles included Corporate Associate positions at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP from February 2007 to March 2010 and Troutman Sanders LLP from September 2005 to February 2007. Shawn Fischman earned a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, completing studies from 2002 to 2005.
