Aki Tuikka

Aki Tuikka is an accomplished professional in the field of metallurgical engineering and management, currently serving as General Manager at First Quantum Minerals since March 2013, where previous roles included Mill Manager and HSE Manager. With a solid background in health, safety, and environment management, Aki also held similar positions at Inmet Mining from January 2003 to February 2013, overseeing production and cost management at the Pyhäsalmi Mine's sulfide ore mill. Aki's extensive experience also includes roles as a Research Metallurgist at Outokumpu and various metallurgist positions at Terra Mining Oy and Tricorona AB. Aki holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oulu and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Kokkola Institute of Technology.
