Andrew Hester

Andrew Hester has extensive experience in environmental management, currently serving as the Group Environmental Manager at First Quantum Minerals since September 2008. Within the company, Hester has held various positions including Environmental Manager for Africa and Environmental and Community Affairs Manager. Prior to First Quantum Minerals, Hester worked as an Environmental Manager at SGS from April 2004 to September 2008 and as an Environmental Scientist at Arcus Gibb from 2002 to 2004. Hester holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Environmental Management from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Zoology from Stellenbosch University. Educational background also includes attendance at St Stithians and Treverton.
