Maribel Rocio Chavarría

Maribel Rocio Chavarría has extensive experience in data and analytics roles. Maribel Rocio currently works as the Data & Analytics Team Lead - Mining Optimization at First Quantum Minerals, where they are responsible for data analysis and management. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Specialist/ Data Architecture in the Business Intelligence & Analytics Projects department at the same company.

Before joining First Quantum Minerals, Maribel worked at Copa Airlines as a Data Governance, Quality & Management Specialist and a Senior Data Warehouse Architect. Maribel Rocio'sresponsibilities included ensuring data quality and reducing management costs.

Maribel Rocio also has experience at Multibank Panama as an Information Technology System Specialist, where they managed business intelligence projects, and at Cable & Wireless Communications as a Business Intelligence Analyst, where they implemented and created data models using Microsoft's Business Intelligence Suite.

Maribel Rocio Chavarría's education history consists of a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering obtained from the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá, starting in 2003 and ending in 2009. Maribel Rocio then pursued an MBA with an emphasis in Strategic Management at the Universidad Interamericana de Panamá from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they also completed a specialization in Senior Management at the same university. Lastly, in 2018, Maribel attended Quality Leadership University to acquire a Project Management, PMP degree in the field of Project Management.
