Zia Shafa

Zia Shafa has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Zia started their career as a Culture Advisor/Translator at Mission Essential, where they provided interpretation, translation, and cultural advisory services to the United States Armed Forces. Zia then transitioned to the role of Assistant Site Manager, where they were responsible for the recruitment and management of linguists, as well as updating databases and reports.

After Mission Essential, Zia worked at the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Sr. Quality Assurance Representative. In this role, they conducted site visits to ensure contractors were following technical specifications and reported the outcomes to the organization. Zia also attended meetings with high-ranking military commanders.
