Taiki Kim

Taiki Kim is currently a Frontend Engineer at First Resonance. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Arrowhead General Insurance Agency from February 2017 to September 2021. There, they were responsible for agile software development in two-week sprint cycles, as well as architecting features and product rollouts for a point-of-sale web application for agents of personal and commercial insurance, a customer policy management portal, and various internal policy admin tools. They also built and maintained internal REST APIs, and boosted developer velocity by leading a migration of the codebase from 12 Git repositories into a single repository. In addition, they streamlined the onboarding process by consolidating code repositories, cleaning up build scripts, and standardizing IDE configurations across the team. Furthermore, they interviewed potential engineering hires and mentored new teammates in on-boarding process, refactored legacy Java application code, and designed and enhanced SQL database schemas to support new products and features. Lastly, they assisted with production support.
