First Responder Network Authority
Michael Moore serves as a Massachusetts State Senator since January 2009, representing the wards of Worcester and surrounding towns. In addition to legislative duties, Michael chairs the Joint Committee on Advanced Information Technology, the Internet and Cybersecurity and is the Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Financial Services. Participation in significant task forces includes the Commonwealth's Task Force on Sexual Misconduct Campus Climate Surveys and a Special Commission to Study Civil Asset Forfeiture Policies. Michael has been involved with the First Responder Network Authority and the National Conference of State Legislatures in various capacities related to public safety and disaster recovery. Previous roles include Assistant Deputy Superintendent at the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, Selectman for Millbury, and an Environmental Police Investigator with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Environmental Law Enforcement. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Western New England University and various leadership and law enforcement training programs.
