Cfmp Jan Phalen

Jan Phalen, CFMP, has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Starting in 1989, Jan worked as an Ad Sales representative at the Kane County Chronicle for two years. In 1991, they joined NSACI as a Membership Coordinator before transitioning to Java Jan's in 2005, where they served as the Owner until 2007. In the same year, Jan joined First State Bank as an Assistant Marketing Officer and steadily climbed the ranks, becoming the VP of Marketing in 2019. Jan's most recent position is Chief Marketing Officer at First State Bank, a role they assumed in December 2021.

Jan Phalen, CFMP completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Northern Illinois University from 1985 to 1989. In 2018, they obtained the Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) certification from the American Bankers Association.
