John Richards

John Richards has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. John started their career as a Scientist at Kallestad Diagnostics in 1988 before transitioning to roles in the academic sector, including being an Assistant Scientist at the University of Minnesota's Department of Surgery. John later worked as a Network Engineer at UW-River Falls and then as the owner of Croix Computing until 2007. From 2005 to 2009, John served on the Community Technology Advisory Group at Stillwater Area Schools, and from 2005 to 2008, they were an IT Officer at First National Bank of Hudson. At First State Bank and Trust, they held the position of Senior Vice President of Information Technology where they implemented an Information Security Program and managed the IT Department. Additionally, John has been involved in various advisory roles, such as serving on the Advisory Committee for the CyberSecurity Specialist Program at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. John has also held leadership positions outside of the business sector, working as the Treasurer of SCVAA and as a booster at PonySoccer.org. Their most recent role was as the Senior Vice President of Information Technology at First State Bank and Trust.

John Richards earned their Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota from 1981 to 1985. John then pursued a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same university from 1985 to 1988.
