Pamela Baker

Vice President - Trust at First State Bank and Trust

Pamela Baker has an extensive work experience in the financial industry, with a focus on trust and estate services. Pamela started their career as a waitress at Lake Elmo Inn in 1984 before moving on to Johnson West and Company, CPAs as a Senior where they prepared business and individual tax returns. In 1994, they joined Wipfli LLP as a Manager, overseeing the Trust and Estate Tax department and managing a team of accountants. Pamela then joined Lake Elmo Bank in 2005 as a Trust Officer, before being promoted to the role of Vice President - Trust and Estate Services. At Lake Elmo Bank, they administered trusts, settled estates, prepared tax returns, and successfully led a software conversion project. In 2015, they joined First State Bank and Trust as the Vice President - Trust.

Pamela Baker obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where they studied from 1987 to 1990. Prior to that, they attended St. Cloud State University from 1985 to 1987, studying Accounting as well. Additionally, Pamela Baker has earned two professional certifications. Pamela became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in February 1993, awarded by the Minnesota Board of Accountancy. Later, in December 2015, they obtained the designation of Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) from the American Bankers Association.
