Clinical Therapist at First Step House

Sydney Olive is a dedicated clinical therapist at First Step House, specializing in providing residential therapy for formally incarcerated adult males with severe substance use disorders since June 2021. Prior experience includes a role as a retail associate at Bath & Body Works and a social work intern at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where Sydney facilitated various therapeutic groups in the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. Additionally, Sydney served as a security officer and fingerprint technician at the University of Utah Department of Public Safety and worked as an MSW intern with the Department of Child and Family Services focusing on family intervention and assessment. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Social Work and dual Bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Utah. Sydney also holds an Associate's degree in Sociology from College of the Canyons and graduated from Valencia High School.
