Katrina Armstrong, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Katrina started their career in 1999 as a Transition Program Coordinator at Sojourner Center. In 2005, they joined Avondale Police Department as a Community Services Supervisor, where they managed various programs and organized community events. Katrina then moved on to work as a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University in 2016, teaching courses related to education. Currently, they are the Director of Community Engagement at FIRST THINGS FIRST, where they are responsible for managing and developing early childhood community engagement strategies and tactics for statewide regions in Arizona.

Katrina Armstrong, Ed.D. completed their education with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University in 1999. Katrina then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University Phoenix between 2002 and 2005. Afterwards, they furthered their education by earning a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University from 2010 to 2015. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Licensed Associate Counselor from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners in November 2005. Katrina has also acquired various certifications, such as "Leading and Motivating People with Different Personalities," "Building Resilience as a Leader," and others through LinkedIn.
