James Binfield

James Binfield is an experienced professional in the field of data and transport consultancy. Currently serving as the Head of Data, Insights & Modelling and previously as Revenue Development Manager at TransPennine Express since May 2020, James has a strong background in analytical roles. Prior to this, James worked at SNC-Lavalin Atkins Transport Consulting & Advisory as a Principal Consultant and Senior Consultant from February 2017 to May 2020, focusing on transforming clients' transport strategies. Earlier experience includes a position as a Transport Analyst at Transport for London, where data-led problem solving was emphasized. Academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Mannheim and a B.Sc. Hons. in Economics from Lancaster University, complemented by various research and teaching assistant roles in the field of economics.
