Robert Hughes

Robert Hughes has a comprehensive work experience spanning several companies. Robert'scurrent role is the Chief Executive Officer at First Trust Direct Indexing since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Commercial Officer at Alerian from August 2020 to October 2022. Earlier in their career, Robert held various roles at Nasdaq, including Global Head of Index and Advisor Solutions from October 2012 to August 2020, and Managing Director of Index Services from November 2006 to October 2012. Robert also served as the Regional Director of Sales at Independent Research Network (Nasdaq/Reuters Joint Venture) from May 2006 to September 2007, and as the Director of Business Development at CapitalBridge from April 1998 to April 2006.

Robert Hughes attended the University of Notre Dame from 1990 to 1994, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
