Dan Godoy

Dan Godoy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software development and financial research. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at First Trust since May 2006, Dan has held various roles including Vice President and Research Analyst, where responsibilities included directing the design and support of software for the Research and Evaluations Department. Prior to this, Dan worked as a Software Developer, focusing on the implementation of systems for evaluating over 1500 Unit Investment Trusts. Dan’s early career includes an internship at Decision Support Sciences, where analytical skills were applied to consumer financial data. Academically, Dan holds an MBA in Finance and Economics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Wheaton College.
