David Breeden is an experienced minister with a strong background in Unitarian Universalist churches. David has served as the Senior Minister at the First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis from August 2013 until retirement, following previous roles as Minister at the Minnesota Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and the United Unitarian and Universalist Society. David's early ministry experience includes a ministerial internship at Eliot Unitarian Chapel. Academically, David holds a Master of Divinity in Theology from Meadville Lombard Theological School, a PhD in English from The University of Southern Mississippi, and a Master of Fine Arts in poetry from the University of Iowa.
