Marianne Markowitz has worked in a variety of roles in the finance and banking industry since 1987. Marianne began their career at General Dynamics as a Cash Requirements Analyst, followed by a Risk & Treasury Analyst role at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals in 1989. In 1998, they became Manager of Treasury & Risk Manager at Express Scripts, and in 2000, they were an International Treasury & Financial Operations Consultant for Syngenta. In 2007, they were CFO for Obama for America, and then in 2009, they became Regional Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration. In 2017, they were National Government Lending Director for CIBC US, and in 2019, they were appointed CEO of First Women's Bank, the first women-founded, women-owned and women-led commercial bank in the country.
Marianne Markowitz attended DePaul University from 1992 to 1993, where they earned their MBA. Prior to that, they attended the University of Missouri-Saint Louis from 1986 to 1987, where they earned their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Accounting and Finance.
