Aaron Lawyer

Aaron Lawyer is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in credit risk management and underwriting. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer at FirstBank since June 2022, Aaron Lawyer oversees credit risk in the greater Nashville area, leading a team of portfolio managers and collaborating with loan officers to enhance the credit approval process. Prior to this, Aaron Lawyer was Credit Admin Manager at INSBANK from 2011 to June 2022, where responsibilities included managing the credit underwriting team and handling complex credit underwriting. Earlier roles include Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Community First Bank & Trust and positions as Commercial Credit Analyst and Field Credit Analyst at First Citizens Bank. Aaron Lawyer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of the South and a Master of Business Administration from Tennessee State University.
