Joni Kettunen

Joni Kettunen is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at Firstbeat Technologies, a leading provider of physiological analytics for sports and well-being, since September 2002. As a co-founder, Joni Kettunen has been instrumental in transforming heartbeat data into personalized insights on exercise, stress, and recovery. Previous experience includes serving as a project manager at the University of Jyväskylä, where a multidisciplinary project focused on heart rate variability and employee stress yielded positive results, and roles as a researcher and research coordinator at various institutions, including the Research Institute for Olympic Sports and the University of Jyväskylä. Joni Kettunen holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Methodologies in Psychophysiology and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of Helsinki.
