Jay Spears

Jay Spears is a Senior Generation Specialist at FirstEnergy, specializing as an Outage Controls Specialist for the Harrison Powerhouse since June 2007. Prior to this role, Jay worked as a Project Controls Consultant at PMC Solutions and the US Army Corps of Engineers, where consultation occurred for various districts, including Galveston and Jacksonville, and Primavera assistance was provided during the P2 implementation. Jay also has experience as a Project Scheduler for Day & Zimmermann NPS, managing projects such as a TVA scrubber retrofit and the Gallatin Fall 03 outage. Earlier in the career, Jay served as a Project Controls Representative at Zachry Industrial, Inc., supporting multiple industrial projects. Jay holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University and an Associate of Applied Science in Instrumentation from Lee College.
