Jennifer Young

Jennifer Young is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience spanning over 25 years, currently serving as the Manager of External Communications at FirstEnergy since January 2005. In this leadership role, Jennifer oversees a team of 12 specialists, focusing on customer communications, corporate messaging, media relations, and social media strategies. Previous positions at FirstEnergy included roles as Supervisor of Energy Delivery & State Communications and Lead of Generation & Environmental Communications, where Jennifer developed marketing plans, managed crisis communications, and served as a primary spokesperson for nuclear generation news. Jennifer's earlier career includes roles at Applied Industrial Technologies and the Medina County Auditor, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications was earned at Bowling Green State University.
