Simon Chan is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in the technology and venture capital sectors. Currently serving as a General Partner at Firsthand Alliance, Simon contributes to a VC fund associated with the "Salesforce mafia." Simon also invests personally in startups outside of Firsthand Alliance and participates as a limited partner in several funds. Previous roles include Venture Partner at Shasta Ventures, Executive in Residence at Sierra Ventures, and CEO and Co-founder of PredictionIO, which was acquired by Salesforce. Simon's earlier ventures include founding Zoth.com, Crossia, and Tutor123.com, alongside a vital role at E*TRADE as a Software Engineer. Simon holds a PhD in Machine Learning from University College London, with additional studies at Stanford University and the University of Michigan.
