Veronica Teran, CPA, CGMA

Veronica Teran, CPA, CGMA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of accounting and finance. Veronica started their career as a Tax Accountant at Karr & Rauscher, CPA in 1998 and worked there until 1999. In 1999, they joined Firstmark Credit Union as an Accounts Payable Specialist and later became a Finance Supervisor in 2000. From 2003 to 2007, Veronica served as a Finance Manager at Firstmark Credit Union and then was promoted to AVP Finance Manager, a position they held until 2013. During this time, they were responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the credit union, including budgeting, financial statement preparation, and audit coordination. In 2013, Veronica was promoted to VP of Finance at Firstmark Credit Union, where they ensured accuracy and timeliness of financial records, managed the budgeting process, and coordinated internal and external audits. Finally, in 2017, they were promoted to VP of Accounting/Controller, a position they currently hold. Throughout their career, Veronica has demonstrated their expertise in accounting and finance, making their a valuable asset in any financial organization.

Veronica Teran, CPA, CGMA has an extensive education history. Veronica first attended Sul Ross State University from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. After that, they pursued further education at the Texas Christian University - M.J. Neeley School of Business from 2009 to 2011. At TCU, they focused on Business Administration and Management, with a specialization in General Business.

In addition to their academic achievements, Veronica has obtained several certifications. In 2002, they became a Certified Public Accountant through TSBPA. Veronica later expanded their expertise by obtaining the Certified Global Management Accountant designation from AICPA and CIMA in March 2014.
