Colin Wakefield

Colin Wakefield is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Treasurer of UK operations for FirstRand Group and FirstRand Securities Limited since October 2015. In this role, Colin oversees capital management, funding, and liquidity while managing securitization transactions and ensuring regulatory compliance with South African and UK authorities. Previously, Colin held various positions at Rand Merchant Bank, including Head of Cross Asset Trading, where significant funds were attracted into developed index-linked products. Colin holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, along with a Bachelor of Economic Science and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Advanced Mathematics of Finance from the University of the Witwatersrand.
