Alistair Bennett has extensive work experience in the construction and engineering industry. Alistair started their career as a Design Engineer at Peter Brett Associates, where they were responsible for the conceptual design and fabrication drawings of river control structures. Alistair then worked as a Project Engineer at Elgin Brown & Hamer (EBH South Africa) before joining Firth Industries. At Firth Industries, Alistair held various roles, including Regional Engineer, Operations Manager, Product Manager, and Area Operations & Projects Manager. Alistair was responsible for providing technical support, managing operational aspects, and overseeing the design and construction of concrete plants. In their most recent role, Alistair served as the National Readymix Technical Manager and is currently working as the Head of Technical at Firth Industries.
Alistair Bennett has a diverse educational background. In 1991 to 1994, they attended the University of Cape Town and obtained a B.Sc Eng degree. Alistair then pursued further education at The University of Auckland from 2006 to 2007, where they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Business with a field of study in Marketing. From 2008 to 2009, Alistair attended the Melbourne Business School, earning a Diploma in Business with a specialization in Frontline Management. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including CPEng Chartered Professional Engineer from Engineering New Zealand and IntPE(NZ) / APEC Engineer from Engineering New Zealand : : Te Ao Rangahau.
