Michael Merz

Michael Merz, P.E. is a structural engineering professional with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as the Structural Engineering Manager at Fischer Homes since September 2022, Michael previously worked as a Structural Engineer at Schaefer from June 2009 to September 2022. Michael began their career as a Co-op Student at Steven Schaefer Associates from March 2006 to September 2008. Academic credentials include a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, obtained in 2010, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the same institution, completed in 2009. Michael's foundational education was completed at Elder High School, graduating in 2004.
