Samudra Neelam Bhuyan has worked in various roles in the tech industry since 2011. In 2011, they founded PearGMAT, a gamified GMAT prep product, where they were responsible for designing the product and testing out the hypothesis they had developed during their stint as a GMAT instructor. In 2012, they co-founded Examify, where they were responsible for designing, developing, and launching the MVP. In 2013, they worked as Lead, Inbound Marketing at MindTickle, where they were responsible for defining the MindTickle brand for both internal and external users and communicating the brand values through various content channels. Samudra Neelam also worked as a Product Designer at Sourceeasy and as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley School of Information, where they migrated a Django application to a new version of Python, Linux, and Django and created scripts to make the workflow much more intuitive and easy to manage. In 2015, they worked as a Product Manager - UX Intern at Autodesk, where they researched and designed a new user flow that became one of the top user acquisition flows for the cloud product - the A360 Online Viewer. In 2016, they worked as a Product Manager (Consultant) at Alien Labs and as a Product Manager at Autodesk, where they managed the AKP data and analytics ecosystem in order for it to be useful for other internal customers such as data scientists, ML engineers, analysts, etc. In 2019, they joined RingCentral as a Senior Product Manager and a Product Manager - Video Collaboration. Currently, they are working as a Lead Product Manager at Fishbowl since 2021.
Samudra Neelam Bhuyan received a Master of Information Management and Systems from UC Berkeley School of Information in 2016. Their field of study was Product Management/UX research. Samudra Neelam also earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai in 2007. In addition, they obtained certifications in Agile Product Owner Role from LinkedIn in November 2016 and Up and Running with Python and Django from LinkedIn in October 2016.
