Matthew Heeps

Matthew Heeps is a Principal Fisheries Scientist with a robust academic foundation in river management, marine and freshwater biology (BSc) and aquaculture (MSc). They began their career in aquaculture with Mainstream Scotland before serving as a Fisheries Officer with the Environment Agency, where they engaged in fisheries monitoring and enforcement. Heeps then became the Fishery Manager and Biologist at the River Naver for four years, prior to advancing into consultancy roles at EnviroCentre and APEM. Currently, at Fishtek, Matthew oversees the implementation of fisheries consultancy services and client relationships across Scotland.
