Syed Asif Raza has worked in the tech industry since 2000. Syed Asif started their career as a Research Assistant at VTT - Technical Research Centre of Finland (Wireless Internet Laboratory), where they worked on developing a functionally minimized embedded HTTP server for Internet appliances. In 2001, they moved to Nokia as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the SW development lifecycle of components. In 2007, they took on the role of Product Owner at Nokia. In 2008, they were a Product Owner/Analyst - Contract at Nike, where they managed and specified the “Nike Data Foundation Platform” as a single version of truth, and designed the DWH, data lake, aggregated layer, curated layers and views. In 2009, they were Co-Founder at Yodiz and Chief Product Owner at VizTrend Ltd. In 2014, they became Senior Product Owner at Basware, where they analyzed customer behavior, developed PoC modules for prediction and forecasting, created Google Analytics reports, and developed a state-of-the-art solution that leveraged e-invoicing and credit card networks. In 2021, they joined Snap Inc. and Fit Analytics, a Snap Inc. company, both as Technical Product Owner.
Syed Asif Raza has an extensive educational background. In 2018, they completed their Master of Engineering in Big Data Analytics & Machine Learning from Arcada University of Applied Sciences. In 1999, they attended the Copenhagen Business School for the EPS European Project Semester. Syed Asif also holds a BEng in Telecommunication & Computer Sciences from the Technical University of Lodz, Poland. Additionally, they have obtained a Data Engineering Nanodegree from Udacity in 2021, an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and a SAFe® Certified Agilist from Scaledagile.
