Richard Exley

Richard Exley is an experienced professional in technology commercialization and investment management. Currently serving as Chairman of Gym Plan since September 2015, Richard previously held the position of Investment Manager at Northstar Ventures UK from January 2004 to January 2014, focusing on early-stage technology investments in sectors such as Digital, Cleantech, and Healthcare. Prior roles include Technology Transfer Manager at Forward Venture Management Ltd, Head of Intellectual Property at the University of Sheffield, and Product/Marketing Manager at VG Instruments/Fisons plc. Richard began a research career as a Research Fellow at the University of Chicago and the Planetary Science Unit, contributing significantly to the field of Geophysical Sciences. Richard holds a BA in Natural Sciences from Churchill College, University of Cambridge, and a D.Phil in Geochemistry from the University of Oxford.
