Derrick Botha

Derrick Botha has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Derrick started their career at Stellenbosch University as a House Committee member from October 2011 to October 2012. Derrick then joined BMI Research (A Fitch Group Company) as a Power & Renewables Analyst in September 2015, where they worked until April 2019. At this company, they progressed to become a Principal Power & Renewables Analyst from April 2019 to April 2021. Derrick then moved to Fitch Solutions in April 2021 as a Senior Power & Renewables Analyst until April 2022. Derrick further took up the role of Associate Director - Power & Renewables from April 2022 to October 2022, and subsequently became an Associate Director - Operational Risk from October 2022 to the present. Currently, Derrick is working at BMI Country Risk & Industry Analysis as an Associate Director starting from April 2023.

Derrick Botha attended Afrkaanse Hoër Seunskool from 2006 to 2009. From 2010 to 2014, they studied at Stellenbosch University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE).
