Jon Thompson has an extensive background in educational leadership, currently serving as Superintendent of Fitchburg Public Schools since July 2010, where previous roles included Interim Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, Elementary Principal, and Assistant Principal. Prior experience includes five years as a teacher in the North Middlesex Regional School District. Jon Thompson holds a Master of Education in Literacy and Language from Framingham State University, a Principal/Assistant Principal Licensure from the National Institute of School Leadership, and a Bachelor of Education in Geography and Earth Science from Framingham State University.
