Darrell N.

Darrell N. has extensive experience in data and analytics. Darrell currently works as the Head of Data and Analytics at Fitness and Lifestyle Group, where they focus on strategic data management within the organization. Prior to this role, they served as the Data Infrastructure/Engineering Manager at the same company, where they were responsible for designing and implementing data architecture and ensuring timely information availability.

Before joining Fitness and Lifestyle Group, Darrell worked as the Head of Data at plotlogic, an AI mining start-up. There, they designed the end-to-end corporate data architecture and developed data pipelines using serverless AWS functions to support client edge computing.

Darrell also has experience with managing analytics projects as a Managing Consultant at Servian. Darrell played a role in various projects including the design of a Snowflake cloud DWH for Fitness Lifestyle Group and the development of a NLP solution in Azure Machine Learning studio for Unity Water.

Prior to that, Darrell worked as a Senior Analytics Consultant/Architect at Cortell Australia and as a Business Intelligence Consultant at Bistech, where they worked on tasks such as data-warehousing and architectural consulting for clients in various industries.

Darrell began their career as a Technical Director at iLAB CRM and a Site Engineer at Sapient. Darrell also worked as a Networks Researcher at the University of Pretoria, where they participated in the High Speed Networks team and conducted research on enhanced ATM control for video conferencing solutions.

Darrell N. has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology from the University of Pretoria, which they obtained from 1995 to 1997. Darrell also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science, Cum Laude, from the same university, which they obtained from 1998 to 1999. In terms of additional certifications, Darrell N. has obtained several certifications from IBM, including IBM Database Associate (DB2), IBM Big Data (Hadoop) Mastery, IBM PureData(Netezza) for Analytics Mastery, IBM Certified Administrator - Cognos 10, IBM Certified Designer - Cognos 10 BI Multidimensional, and IBM Certified Designer - Cognos 10 BI Reports. Darrell N. also holds the certification of Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile, which they obtained in January 2020. Additionally, they have the Snowflake SnowPro Cloud Architect certification from Snowflake Computing, obtained in 2018.
