Akshay Verma

Akshay Verma is an accomplished entrepreneur and director with extensive experience in both the social enterprise and fitness sectors. As Co-Founder of FITPASS since January 2015, Akshay has helped create a comprehensive fitness membership platform connecting users to a vast network of gyms and studios in India. In addition, Akshay has served as Director of Agratam India since March 2012, a recognized social venture focused on empowering rural communities in Bihar through economic initiatives; Akshay was honored by President Obama at the 2015 Global Entrepreneurship Summit for contributions to sustainable agriculture. Akshay is also a member of the Confederation of Indian Industry's Regional Special Task Force on Entrepreneurship and Start-ups, actively promoting entrepreneurship in Northern India. Previous roles include founding Skillhippo.com, consulting for Echoing Green with the Rockefeller Foundation, and working at UBS Investment Bank in London. Akshay holds a Master of Financial Economics from the University of Oxford and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, along with a B.A. in Mathematics from St. Stephen's College.
